Easy ePub Code Editor FAQ’s

Any photos or pictures that are in your "photos" app on your iPad are available to be used in your book. This includes "Photo Stream" which makes it very to take a photo with your iPhone, and then use it in your book.

Please Note* Apple recommends max size of 2 Million pixels per image. Images should be edited and optimized prior to inserting in your book.

All book resources / assets other than photos or pictures are accessed via iTunes file sharing.

Add your book resources to "Easy ePub Code Editor's" Documents Folder via "iTunes".

Resources are listed in "My Files".

Adding "Read Aloud" text highlighting is very easy. It does however require the use of "Audacity" a free audio program which is available for windows and macs.

Step 1: Record edit and finalize audio narration for your book. Audio files must be for one page only. So if you have 20 pages, you will need 20 separate audio files.

Step 2: Load each audio file into "Audacity". Create labels for each word in the file. Export the "Label" text file. NOTE - the audio file and the label file must have the same name. i.e. page1.m4a / page1.txt.

Step 3: Import the audio and label files to "Easy ePub Code Editor" via iTunes.

Step 4: Add text to the page, select the corresponding page audio file and thats it!

Step 5: Create your ePub and view in iBooks.

Check out this sample - Read Aloud Demo ePub (requires iBooks).
